Fraser Fir Boughs

Stacy Sweeney | Fraser Fir Boughs | 2024 | Watercolor | 5″x7″

Native to Appalachia

are Fraser Fir boughs

finished with hand picked pine cones

dressed up even further with a red velvet bow

I received what you shared, and it was more than a check

there were two checks

that were sort of stuck together

fixed inside a beautiful Christmas tree card decorated

with multiple white doves and a metallic gold ribbon

People that need people are the luckiest people in the world, and I need you.

In the spirit of this special season,

wishing you peace, happiness

and all the best in the coming year.
