Melting in the Sun: Remix

“They will not hunger or thirst, neither will the scorching heat or sun strike them down. For he who has compassion on them will lead them and will guide them to springs of water.” Isaiah 49:10, 55:8-12

Melting in the Sun: Remix
The nurse is coming to my house today,
and I pray everything is going to be okay.
I swear, I swear,
on the medicine box, product of Israel.
The nurse responds, “My body don’t belong to me,
but to the glory of God and my family.”
I’ve been dodging that shot for twenty-five years,
and it’s got me pinned down now and here.
Never mind the disclosures.
My body was not formed to endure excess exposure.
Foreign toxicity.
First dose efficacy.
Never mind that vitamins and diet lend itself to healing.
It’s time for more – self love as to a sick child done differently.
One percent progression or one percent stabilization is my choice.
I don’t want my chart to be stamped, “VOID.”
The syringe is filled up with intent to treat.
It’s only impossible if I stop and think.
Stats are 50/50 and I give informed consent.
I’m just one day closer to it happening again.
