What parts did I like the first time? °the analogous red color scheme °the layering effect of trees on top of trees in the distant shadow hill ° the S curve in that one tree trunk °the colors I placed around the trees to make them sorta like flicker

I doted it on my pop, saying,“You’re gonna love this painting I’m sending you, because your best days are like the color red, and you love taking me out on the water!” He replied, “I’m going to love this painting because my girl painted it for me!” I still stagger under his heartfelt sensibilities.

What parts will I do differently next time? °stop holding my breath when I paint °paint transparent blues into a more apparent path °squeeze a different transparent blue straight out of the tube, maybe turquoise

What parts will I do differently next time? °paint abstractly °I want to continue the painting by dropping harmony into the trees branching out into the cottage °paint little pink chimney pots pitched in warm sunny spots
What parts did I like the first time? °all the light glaring off the tin roof that won’t stop °the large green trees beside the exotic caribbean blue sky °the tetradic color scheme and that little patch of tinted purple flowers that don’t belong in front of the tree’s shadow °how I fan brushed some of the flowers

it’s so messed up, paint is all over it

What parts will I do differently next time? °paint more pretty evergreens around the cottage °shape up the long green bank °leave more white panel showing through on the bottom edges °leave entirely different brush marks °smooth out and warm up the sky more °paint a ten speed piece of metal soaring down the slope with my feet slipped off the pedals
